Do you have a cell phone or tablet? GalaxySo, free live TV is just a download away. Samsung TV Plus It's Samsung's own streaming service: channels that play all day, movies to watch whenever you want, and no monthly fee. The advertising pays the bill, and the Google Play listing immediately warns you that the app... contains advertisements.
There's just one catch, and it decides everything: the app is exclusive to the brand. The app store page lists Galaxy smartphones and tablets with Android 11 or higher as compatible, and access requires a Samsung account. On phones from other brands, you'll need to use Pluto TV or the official YouTube channels, which are listed further down.
Advantages of the Application
No subscription and no card required.
There is no paid plan to unlock the channel. You log in with your Samsung account, choose the channel, and watch, with commercial breaks in the middle of the programming.
Live channels and on-demand movies
The store description mentions over 130 channels and more than 2,000 on-demand movies, including news, dramas, entertainment, sports, children's programming, and music. These are global figures: Samsung itself warns that the content varies from country to country.
The same service as Samsung TVs
Those who own a Samsung Smart TV are already familiar with Samsung TV Plus, which comes built into the television itself. The store warns on mobile devices that the programming may differ from that on the TV.
No permission required.
According to the app's page, it works without requiring access permissions. The only optional permission is for notifications, used for alerts and recommendations on Android 13 or higher.
What the Samsung TV Plus doesn't do
It doesn't work on other brands of phones and doesn't offer the full range of Brazilian free-to-air TV channels or subscription channels. Samsung itself states in the store that the variety of content is limited and that not every TV program is available.
There is also no such thing as a "released," modified, or off-store version: any such file circulating online is not from the developer and puts your device and data at risk. Always download from Google Play.
Other legal ways to watch TV for free
If your phone isn't a Samsung, or if you want more programming in Portuguese, these options are free and official:
PlutoTV — A free app on the Brazilian Google Play Store that organizes movies, series, and channels in a grid similar to that of TV. It is supported by ads and works on any brand of mobile phone, including iPhones.
Official YouTube channels — Broadcasters, newspapers, and clubs maintain free live streams on YouTube itself, without requiring any installation.
Antenna and digital TV If your home device receives a digital signal, free-to-air channels remain the most stable and cost-free way to watch live TV.
